Seniors need AI advice
WITH Artificial Intelligence (AI) becoming increasingly part of day-to-day life, the Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre is hosting an ‘introduction to Artificial Intelligence session’ for seniors during ‘Get Online Week’ which will run from 20-26 October.

This is a national campaign intended to close the digital divide and is designed to help people feel safer and more confident online so no one is left behind.
The centre’s AI event is on their balcony on Wednesday 22 October at 6/10 Mowbray Street, Port Douglas.
“Artificial Intelligence is with us and here to stay,” said event organiser Chrissy Gilewicz. “By understanding AI, we can all use it in an advantageous way,” she said.
A ‘tech savvy’ person is being sought to assist with the day.
“We are currently seeking a presenter with some good working knowledge of AI to deliver a user-friendly, jargon-free session giving some real-world examples of how our seniors can use AI in their daily lives,” Ms Gilewicz said. “We are able to pay a small fee to the right person and would love to hear from you if you are able to assist.”
