Isaac Sinnott from Exert Fitness, alongside his business partner and brother Ben, will run laps of Watsons Oval for a full day starting at 6pm on 10 April.

The event aims to raise funds through a per-lap donation model, with Exert Fitness pledging $5 per lap completed during the challenge.

Mr Sinnott said the cause was deeply personal.

“Mental health issues have been something that has affected us personally, and amongst our community of friends from a very young age,” he said.

“The fitness pathway has helped us through some very difficult times in our lives, and we want to use it as a chance to raise money to help others, as mental health is such an overlooked disease that affects most people in some way throughout their lives.” The initiative is also seeking support from local businesses and the wider community, with organisers encouraging donations or sponsorships tied to each lap completed.

Funds raised will go towards mental health support and suicide prevention initiatives through The Shaka Project.
