Life is paradise after 50 years of loving wedded bliss
PORT Douglas locals Sandra and Graeme Pimlott have recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. The couple originally started holidaying in Port 25 years ago and decided to make the Douglas Shire their home, full time, in 2021.

“I don’t believe we have ever had a cross word in 50 years” Mr Pimlott said.
“Three boys, three daughters-in-law and seven grandkids later, we must be doing something right” he added.

After dating for three years, the couple’s big day on Saturday 4 October 1975, was held at the Scots Church, Melbourne, followed by a local wedding reception at The Victoria Hotel.
