The summer season officially started back in November with teams kicking into five rounds of action before they went into their well-deserved Christmas break.

Returning to action in late January, the teams picked up where they left off working towards the much-anticipated finals series that was quickly approaching them.

The finals format involves only the top four teams progressing on, leading to a single game elimination final series until the top two teams in each age group and division play off for the gold medal.

The day started off with the U12s with the following results:

Boys div 1 - Redlynch defeated Edge Hill 60-40. Div 2 – Redlynch Royals defeated Redlynch Riot 34-25. Div 3 - Redlynch defeated Cairns Timberwolves 25-20 giving Redlynch the clean sweep.

Girls - All Stars Comets defeating All Stars Pearls 37-25.

The U14s div 1 boys finished in a nail biting overtime game where the All Stars took down Timberwolves 54-48.

The div 2 boys also saw a nail biting finish with Timberwolves taking down Phoenix 37-35, while the div 3 boys saw All Stars handle Timberwolves 47-30.

The U14s girls had Redlynch take out the div 1 title beating Northern Beaches Heat 35-23, while in division 2 Northern Beaches were victorious, winning their game 36-16 over Phoenix.

The U16s and U19s grand finals will be held through the week as they also wrap up their season before the well-deserved Easter break.
