The release follows a two-day event in Beaudesert that reshaped the national standings, with Mount Isa rider Donnie Rutherfurd claiming victory.

Fans are now able to secure seats for upcoming Monster Energy Tour stops in Nowra (9 May), Cairns (4 July), Melbourne (15 August), Adelaide (22 August) and Caboolture (29 August).

In a boost for southern fans, the tour will also return to Melbourne’s John Cain Arena and Adelaide’s Adelaide Entertainment Centre in August for the first time since 2019.

Following the Beaudesert event, the national leaderboard has tightened, with Rutherfurd climbing to No. 1 as competitors battle for position early in the season.

PBR Australia Managing Director Glen Young said the 2026 season was shaping up to be one of the most competitive yet.

“2026 is already shaping up to be a hotly contested season,” he said.

“This year will see over a million dollars in posted prize money and bonuses awarded to cowboys, with more than 29 events scheduled from as far north as Cairns right down the east coast to Adelaide.

“It’s going to be a hectic season from start to finish, which will see our regular road warriors back on tour as well as a number of internationals looking to come and participate, all chasing the Gold Buckle and $100,000 year-end bonus. This could potentially be the season where new records are broken.”

The season will also include the return of the PBR Origin Series, with interstate rivalry adding another layer of competition.

The series begins in Newcastle on 30 May, then heads to Brisbane on 6 June and concludes in Sydney at the TikTok Entertainment Centre on 1 August. Tickets for the Origin events are already on sale.

With more than a million dollars in prize money, bonuses on offer and national standings beginning to take shape, organisers say the 2026 season is already building momentum.
