Free video workshop
A CAIRNS-based marketing agency is set to host a free videography workshop aimed at people looking to step into the industry and build practical skills.
Bang Media managing director Angelo Saliba said the idea came from years of people asking for guidance on how to get started in videography and content production.
Mr Saliba said Bang Media had been operating in Cairns for more than 18 years and had grown into a full-service marketing agency working with a wide range of local businesses.
He said the free workshop was designed to remove some of the barriers people felt when entering the videography industry.
“I just noticed maybe it’s a pretty steep (learning) curve, unless you have someone giving you some tips to get going.”
The workshop is open to a broad range of participants, from beginners to those looking to move beyond phone filming.
Participants will be guided through camera systems, client expectations and the fundamentals of videography, including composition and content development.
