After an extremely dominant home and away season, the Dragons were riding an extreme momentum wave entering finals.

This form continued after a qualifying victory against the ladder-leading Stratford Dolphins, giving the Dragons both a week off to recover and rest, but also giving them the mental edge against the Dolphins.

The Dragons entered the grand final with one goal, which was to walk away with the silverware.

The game was far from ordinary, with the Dragons getting their first goal on the board in the 21st minute of a Stratford own goal.

The first half saw two Stratford players awarded yellow cards but no other scores, sending the Dragons into half time with a 1-0 lead.

The second half was a much closer and hard-fought matchup with a total four yellow cards and two red cards given out to both teams.

With the clock putting heavy pressure on Stratford, it proved to be way too much as the Dragons scored again in the 86th minute, putting them up 2-0 and all but securing the 2025 premiership.

The Dragons are now extremely thrilled to be able to call themselves the defending premiers of the region for the next 12 months and are now able to put last year’s result in the back of their mind.
