Crocs are on the attack

The Crocs’ 2025 campaign started off incredibly bumpy, losing their first three games after last year’s elimination final defeat.

The season started to turn around after a big win against the Manunda Hawks in round four where the playing group found some form and momentum which they then ran with all the way to the end of the season, not losing another game all season and finishing with a 13-3 record.

This record gave the Crocs yet another minor premiership, finishing three games clear of the second-placed Centrals Trinity Beach Bulldogs.

The Crocs played their final game of the season against the third-placed North Cairns Tigers and came away with a very convincing 111-59 win.

Kye Chapple, Jacob Zborli, Tom Kluske and Brodie Francis each finished the game with three goals.

This win keeps the Crocs’ momentum wave flowing, as they now host Central Trinity Beach Bulldogs at home in the qualifying final.

A win will send the Crocs straight to the grand final and give them a well-deserved week off while they wait for their opponent.

The Crocs women’s team have followed in the club’s culture, landing themselves a finals berth in just their second season.

The ladies finished the season in fourth place on the ladder with a record of 9-7. The team have worked extremely hard this year and have some monumental wins which has landed them a finals berth.

The ladies know they have their work cut out for them taking on the formidable Cairns City Lions in the elimination final at ITEC stadium. The Crocs remain confident in their playing group as they beat this Lions’ outfit earlier in the season.

The women’s team will have to go the long way to the grand final, needing to win their next three games all on the road, but they are both ready and excited for whatever challenge is presented to them, as they look to bring back more silverware to the Douglas Shire.
